Paratus Eswatini is the Official Connectivity Partner of the Imbube Marathon 2026. The partnership, valued at E90,000, will provide advanced connectivity solutions to support one of Eswatini's premier sporting events, which takes place on 17 October 2026.
Through its partnership with event organisers, Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF), Paratus Eswatini will provide connectivity infrastructure to support all operations for the marathon.
Paratus Eswatini, which is part of Paratus Group, the pan-African telco and network services provider group across 16 African countries, will deploy Starlink powered connectivity solutions to enhance the experience for athletes, spectators, race officials and the media. This includes a Starlink High-Performance Kit for event activations and the main race, a Standard Kit for spectator WiFi, mobile connectivity kits for race vehicles and dedicated data capacity.
The technology deployment will enable free WiFi at the stadium start and finish points. It will also support live streaming from official race vehicles, a dedicated media hub for journalists and Connectivity Zones along the race route for officials and emergency services.
Paratus Eswatini will further support digital experiences during the event, including real time race results, digital certificates, and live drone footage displayed on stadium screens.
Paratus Eswatini Country Manager, Ali Resting, says: "Connectivity plays an increasingly important role in creating engaging and efficient experiences. We are proud to partner with ENPF to bring innovative technology solutions to the Imbube Marathon and support an event that celebrates community, achievement and sporting excellence."
Mrs. Sindi Mango - GM Corporate Services of ENPF says: "The Imbube Marathon continues to grow as a flagship sporting event in Eswatini. This partnership with Paratus Eswatini will introduce new digital capabilities that will enhance the experience for athletes, spectators and stakeholders."
